Ward’s journey began in the 1960s, when he left Ohio, got his BA in psychology at University of Colorado, Boulder, and spent six years traveling across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Immersed in cultures rarely visited by Western adventurers at the time, he discovered a profound truth: our species’ differences are just at the surface, but our shared humanity is universal. That realization has shaped his life’s work — building bridges of connection through music, psychology, and community.

A lifelong artist, Ward first rose to international fame under the stage name Zoum Zazzo, performing with his bands Prophecy and Blackfire Prophecy across Southeast Asia. His music, rooted in rock and celebration, later evolved into original compositions that now form the heartbeat of his Trust, Gratitude, Love (TGL) events — immersive gatherings that combine song, story, and shared experience to ignite unity and healing.

As a Ph.D. clinical and organizational psychologist, Ward founded Trimergence LLC in the early 1990s — a consultancy that has worked with CEOs, executive teams, and entire companies for more than 30 years. His approach, blending psychology, anthropology, and leadership science, empowers individuals and organizations to move from “power over” command-and-control to cultures of creative, collaborative partnership. Ward also patented the Trimergence® Turbo Evolution Machine, a software and services platform that accelerates human growth, enabling people and organizations to rapidly achieve their highest potential.
